bouncin' back

A wise man once said, "The depressing thing about tennis is that no matter how much you play, you'll never be as good as a wall. I played a wall once, they're...relentless."

I may never be as good as a wall, but it sure is a fun sport to watch while frying in the afternoon sun.

I went on Sunday to watch the Legg Mason Tennis Classic Finals. It was very hot, but lots of fun. I got to watch the Bryan Brothers play some awesome tennis (and eventually play some music - apparently, they have a band.) We were sitting on the third row over the umpire's right shoulder. These awesome seats came with tennis balls that we were able to get signed by Bob and Mike. Hopefully, there will be pictures coming soon.

We also watched Andy Murray get beat by Arnaud Clement, which was sad - but Brad Gilbert was there (Andy M's new coach, Andre Agassi and Andy Roddick's old coach), so that was cool.

Over all, it was a very enjoyable day. Who doesn't love scorching heat and a sore neck from watching the ball go back and forth and extremely high speeds?

Here's to sunburns, tennis, and Mitch.

I watched the Legg Mason Classic last year and it was a lot of fun. We didn't get to see the finals because tickets were a bit pricey, but we still had fun. David Blake came and Hannah too and before long we were placing quarter bets on who would win points, matches, etc. It was a lot of fun. Should have gone this year, but hopefully I will next year.

I Love tennis! You're way too young to remember Jimmy Connor, but I watched him play an indoor tourney in Memphis one year. Very cool. Glad you enjoyed the Legg Mason.
