Yesterday, Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA), in an unusual moment of clarity, said something profound. At the end of a Senate hearing on Gitmo, he asked the million dollar question. He wanted to know if the military had a plan of what to do with Gitmo detaness other than "keep them there forever, or until we're done with the war on terror...whichever comes first."
